Ms. Goldstein’s twelve-year apprenticeship with one of the opera world’s greatest sopranos, Adele Addison, provided her with every necessary tool, exercise, image and insight that both she and her students have ever come to need in order to build, maintain and exceed the highest standard of vocal and technical excellence, musical exactness, truth and style, and perfection in foreign language including French, German, Italian, Spanish, Hebrew, Yiddish, Russian and Czech. Having taught privately for 15 years, Ms. Goldstein brings to the teaching field her professional stage and recording experience and knowledge of performance skills and emotional content that will serve the singer for their entire lives. Ms. Goldstein has also spent many years under the tutelage of Metropolitan opera baritone Mark Oswald, and has studied and coached with some of the greatest singers of our time including Anna Moffo, Birgit Nilson, Mignon Dunn, Hermann Prey, Charles Bressler, and Betty Allen. Testimonials from Amy’s Students
“4 years after Amy left New York City [!!!], I’m still using vocal exercises she gave me. Amy also made me realize the vocal importance of *general* relaxation and strength exercises, which I’d been ignoring at the time.” - Baritone and Cantorial Soloist, Larry Kay
“Amy Goldstein is a superb artist of the highest calibre who is genuinely able to combine her passion and knowledge in music with teaching a solid and artistic vocal technique with a caring and supportive attitude. I had the pleasure and honor to perform with her on different stages and see her students shine throughout her wonderful teaching approach.” - Soprano and Cantorial Soloist Shiree Kidron (www.Shireekidron.com):
